Associate Professor, Keio University, and Visiting Scholar, UC Berkeley
Miki Akiyama received her PhD in Medicine, and PhD in Media and Governance at Keio University. From 2010 to 2012, she served in the Japanese government task-force on Health Information Technology Promotion, and has been an active contributor in the areas of health communication and community health research.
She is the author of “Information Technology and Health Communication”, “Community Health”, and other books. She has published many peer-reviewed journal articles on health informatics and palliative care.
Since 2007, she has been teaching at Keio University. She is currently a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley CJS and SPH.
