Information Security Officer, University of Hawaii, Manoa
Jodi Ito is the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of Hawaii (UH) since 2000 and has been with the University since 1982. She is responsible for the security and protection of the information assets across the the University of Hawaii System including the development and management of policies & procedures related to information security and assurance, risk & vulnerability analysis for critical assets, investigations of cyber incidents, & providing training on information policy & security issues across all 10 UH campuses.
She is actively involved in the “cyber-ecosystem” in Hawaii: organizing and executing community cybersecurity exercises; running cybersecurity exploration camps for high school students, working to develop the Hawaii Cybersecurity Workforce Initiative (architecting academic and career pathways in cybersecurity); and is one of the principal organizers of CyberHawaii.
Jodi graduated with both BS and MS degrees in Computer Sciences from UH Manoa.
