Serial Entrepreneur Raju Vegesna, based in California’s Silicon Valley, is Chairman & Managing Director of Sify Technologies Limited, which was the first private ISP in India. Raju acquired Sify in 2005 and has since transformed it into one of the largest integrated ICT solutions and services companies on the Indian subcontinent, with a clientele of 8500+ businesses.
Before Sify, Raju founded multiple technology companies. ServerEngines, an industry leader in network and storage convergence products, was acquired by Emulex in 2010. ServerWorks, founded in 1994, became the world leader in computer chipsets and was acquired by Broadcom Corporation. Before ServerWorks, Raju co-founded Ross Technologies, spearheading the creation of the HyperSparc processor, a CPU used by Sun Microsystems for its first multiprocessor servers. Raju’s career began at Motorola.
Raju holds several patents in microprocessor and multiprocessor technologies. Raju has a master's degree in computer engineering from Wayne State University, Michigan, and a bachelor's degree in electronics engineering from Bangalore University.
