Challenges and Solutions to Arctic Subsea Cable Installation

Abstract

The Quintillion Subsea Cable System is a tremendous accomplishment. The head of Quintillion's external relations proposes to present an overview of the construction, engineering, design and permitting necessary to construct Quintillion's 1200 km subsea cable in the North American Arctic, connecting Nome to Prudhoe Bay, with branches into Nome, Kotzebue, Point Hope, Wainwright, and Barrow, Alaska. This presentation would combine both technical and logistical challenges and solutions associated with cables in the Arctic could with the economic and social benefits to the residents, existing industry, development of new industries and natural resource development, and supporting critical Arctic infrastructure.
